FORVERTZ / CAPABILITY 04

Custom web apps, built around the job.

Forvertz develops web applications for specific business needs: internal tools, customer portals and AI-assisted experiences. You work directly with Benoit Novel from defining the workflow to building and handing over a working application.

START WITH THE USEFUL QUESTION

Build the tool you keep wishing for.

A custom app becomes useful when it gives people a clearer way to do something their existing tools do not handle well. We define who uses it, what they need to accomplish and how information moves through the experience before deciding on screens and technology.

Where this can help.

01

Internal business tools

Give a team a focused interface for a recurring task, review process or operational workflow. Define the information each person needs and the actions they should be able to take.

02

Customer and collaborator portals

Create a place to submit, review or work with information across an agreed process. Account access, permissions and responsibilities are part of the scope when the application needs them.

03

AI-assisted product experiences

Combine generation or interpretation with editable results, review steps and ordinary application behaviour. The AI feature should serve the user’s task and make its limitations understandable.

From scope to working system.

We start with the smallest useful end-to-end journey. A prototype or first version lets the people involved try it and identify what is missing. We then build the agreed integrations and application states, check the relevant access and data flows, and prepare the launch and handover around an explicit scope.

FROM THE FIELD NOTES

A multilingual publishing application

A publishing application combines AI-assisted content, editable cover designs and author review across languages. The work connects a creative task to a usable interface and a review process, instead of leaving the generated output in a separate tool. Client details remain private.

A few useful answers.

Do I need an app or an automation?

An automation is a good fit when an existing process needs to run between tools. A custom app makes sense when people need a dedicated interface, a review journey or capabilities the current tools do not provide. A project can combine both.

Can we start with a prototype?

Yes. A prototype or small first version can help clarify the workflow and test whether the experience is useful. We agree what that version should demonstrate and what would be needed to take it further.

Can an app include AI features?

Yes. AI can support tasks such as drafting, organising information or creating editable starting points. The application still needs appropriate review, error handling and ordinary logic around the generated output.

What happens to the application after launch?

Ownership, deployment, documentation, maintenance and ongoing support are agreed in the project scope. Third-party services and their running costs should be clear before launch, along with who is responsible for future updates.

BRING ME YOUR WHAT-IF

Start with one useful thing.

Describe who will use the app and one task they should be able to complete. Include the tools or information it must connect to and any examples of the current workaround.
